Bringing the Swiss Experience to Southeast Asia

When was the last time a MICE event transported living Alpine traditions halfway across the world?

Switzerland Tourism did exactly that.

On April 2026, the Switzerland Travel Experience (STE) 2026 unfolded in Bandung, Indonesia and it was nothing short of exceptional. Seamlessly executed and deeply engaging, the event brought people together in a meaningful way, creating connections that went beyond business.

At its heart, it was a celebration of cultures, a bridge between Europe and Southeast Asia. The iconic Alpabzug Festival was brought to life in Bandung, where the festival’s hallmark cows took centre stage, with every detail thoughtfully curated to honour one of Switzerland’s most cherished traditions. Beyond the festival, attendees immersed themselves in Swiss culture through the resonant sounds of the traditional Suisse Alphorn, enjoyed a farm-to-table cooking experience with local chefs, transforming a bare ballroom to a Swiss village to hold a buyer meets seller session and gathered for an open-air meeting overlooking the hotel’s picturesque pond. It wasn’t just an event, it was an experience which we considered flawless execution.

Behind the scenes, Aavii Worldwide and Bayu Buana a member of Ministry of MICE delivered a masterclass in collaboration. Acting as the single point of contact, Aavii Worldwide ensured clarity, precision, and consistency throughout the planning process, while Bayu Buana’s strong regional expertise anchored the event on the ground.

Despite the complexities, from coordinating multiple arrival transfers via flights and buses to integrating the iconic Whoosh high-speed rail into the journey, every detail came together effortlessly, adding yet another memorable layer to the experience.

But seamless execution doesn’t happen by chance.

It starts long before the event itself.

Aavii Worldwide went above and beyond, conducting not one, not two, but three separate site inspections to ensure every element met the highest standards. Because in our world, excellence lies in the details, the things guests may not see but always feel.

As Maya Angelou once said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you make them feel”.
